Suspect for series of robberies in Baixada Fluminense is arrested in RJ
A man identified as a thief from houses and stores in Baixada Fluminense was arrested, this Thursday (18), in the center of the city of Itaguaí (RJ).
According to the Civil Police, the arrest occurred through agents from the 50th DP who served two warrants issued against him by the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice.
According to investigations, the suspect already has an extensive criminal record, with several convictions and more than twenty records for similar infractions. He had also been released from prison in April of this year and soon after was again the target of investigations for crimes of the same nature.
In one of the cases attributed to him, the suspect allegedly broke into a residence and stole a bicycle. In another, he entered a property, where he stole several items, including a gas cylinder.
Also according to the Civil Police, investigations are still ongoing to clarify other thefts attributed to the man and determine possible participation in new crimes in the region. He remains in prison.
