After ending the first part of the season on the rise under the command of Fernando Diniz, striker Kaio César is looking for a run as a starter for Corinthians after the end of the 2026 World Cup, which takes place between June 11 and July 19 in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Loaned by Al-Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, until the end of this season, the winger has played 552 minutes (disregarding additions) with the Corinthians shirt, with one goal and two assists in 14 games for Alvinegro. Of the four matches as a starter, the last of them took place on May 30th, in the victory against Grêmio, by 3 x 1, in the 18th round of the Brasileirão, in the South, a game that preceded the break in the calendar.

That day, he was one of Timão's main highlights in the game and found the back of the net when he scored Timão's third goal after a play on the right side inside the penalty area. According to ge.globo, the number 37 has maintained its good performance in interseason training at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. The 22-year-old is one of the only players in the current squad with the speed and depth characteristics of the current squad, an offensive problem that the team faced last year.

If they wanted to buy him from Al-Hilal, Corinthians will have to pay 6 million euros (around R$35.8 million at current prices) for 50% of the economic rights. One of his assists for Corinthians came in winning the 2026 Brazilian Super Cup, in the 2-0 victory over Flamengo, in Brasília. On that occasion, he served striker Yuri Alberto to score the second goal of the game.

Kaio César faced two muscle injuries at the beginning of his career at Corinthians, being sidelined between the beginning of February and mid-March and then between the middle of the third month of the year and mid-April. Revealed in Coritiba's youth categories, he made his professional debut in 2023 playing for the team from Paraná.

There were three goals in 36 games. He was then sold to Vitória de Guimarães, from Portugal, where he scored four goals and provided eight assists in 47 matches. Later, he moved to Arab football, as already mentioned, finding the net four times and providing six goals in 39 games.

Corinthians will return to the official field on July 23rd, Thursday, at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), to face Remo, at the Neo Química Arena, for the 19th round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship. Currently, Timão is in tenth place with 24 points - six wins, six draws and six defeats - 18 goals scored and 19 conceded. Before that, Alvinegro will play a friendly against FC Cascavel, on July 12th, at 4pm, in Paraná.

In August, the Parque São Jorge club, in addition to the national competition games, will have the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil and Conmebol Libertadores, when they will face Internacional and Rosário Central, from Argentina, respectively.
