Streaming and 5G expand postpaid dispute
The consumption of digital content in Brazil has been changing the dynamics of the mobile phone market. With Brazilians connected to video, music, live sports and social media platforms throughout the day, operators have intensified the offer of plans that concentrate internet, entertainment and additional services in the same package.
According to the Game Brasil 2025 Survey, 82.8% of the population regularly consumes some type of digital content. At the same time, the advancement of 5G has increased the use of mobile internet in the country.
Data released by Anatel shows that Brazil ended 2025 with more than 58 million active accesses in 5G technology, growth of 46% compared to the previous year.
The pace of expansion of the new generation of internet also accelerated coverage in the country. According to a projection by the Ministry of Communications, around 80% of the Brazilian population should have access to 5G by the end of 2026.
In addition to connection quality, streaming, mobility and benefit programs have gained relevance in the postpaid market.

TIM Black users have access to the operator's leading 5G network, suitable for intense video consumption, video calls, online games and work applications.
Connectivity during commuting and travel has also gained relevance among consumers who depend on their cell phones throughout the day.
The plan includes international roaming in participating countries and internet access on compatible flights through TIM no Avião, available on participating Gol and Latam airlines.

Shows, festivals and exclusive actions gained space in operators' competition for postpaid users.
Those who use TIM Black have access to TIM Mais, an exclusive program for customers that brings together discounts, experiences and benefits.
Benefits include half price at the cinema and 50% discount on the popcorn combo, gift cards, promotions, experience redemptions and sweepstakes promoted by the company.
The plan also offers discounts on the purchase of smartphones and accessories, amid the increase in device replacement driven by the expansion of 5G in the country.
Streaming, benefits and digital services have gained weight in competition between operators in the postpaid market.
