Starship lands in the ocean after SpaceX test; see moment

SpaceX completed another Starship test this Friday (22) with the controlled landing of the ship in the ocean.

The return took place around 8:35 pm Brasília time, about an hour after takeoff from the Starbase base, in Texas, United States.

Images from the official broadcast show the moment in which Starship descends and executes the landing maneuver during the suborbital test flight.

The launch is part of Elon Musk's company's program to develop a fully reusable space system aimed at future missions to the Moon and Mars.

SpaceX employees celebrate enthusiastically
SpaceX's Dan Huot acknowledged the cheers from employees on the live stream, noting that there was "a pretty happy crowd in the control room behind me."

"I would say it's probably the biggest show of excitement I've seen in a long time," he said.

Huot also stated that the landing was "precise", indicating that the Starship landed in the correct location despite engine problems.
