Spanish judge will referee Brazil x Haiti in the second round of the World Cup

Alejandro Hernandez, from Spain, will referee the second match of the Brazilian team in the World Cup, against Haiti, next Friday (19). The game is valid for Group C of the classification phase of the competition.

Two more Spaniards will complete the refereeing trio: José Enrique Naranjo and Diego Sanchez will work as assistants. The fourth judge will be Swiss Sandro Schaerer and the reserve referee will be Stéphane de Almeida, also from Switzerland.

With Champions League games under his belt, Hernandez will make his debut in this World Cup being played in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Hernández was born on November 10, 1982 and began his journey in the lower divisions of Spanish football until reaching the elite of the sport. In 2014, the judge received the FIFA shield, becoming part of the entity's international staff.

In the Spanish Championship, Alejandro Hernandez presented an average of more than five yellow cards per match. He has the profile of a strict referee in disciplinary control of clashes.
