SpaceX's Initial Public Offering (IPO) attracted more than US$70 billion (R$362.3 billion) in demand from individual investors, Bloomberg News reported.
An IPO (Initial Public Offering) is a company's first public offering of shares. The operation marks the company's entry into the stock exchange and allows investors to buy and sell their shares on the market.

According to the news agency, however, as the forecast is that at least 20% of the available actions will be aimed at this audience, the expectation is that part of this demand will not be met. As a result, the tendency is for demand for the shares to increase - and, consequently, in the price - as soon as the shares begin to be traded.
Also according to Bloomberg News, the rocket, satellite and artificial intelligence company also received orders from around 1,000 institutional investors.

Earlier this month, SpaceX announced the price of US$135 (R$698.80) per share for its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, breaking with the traditional pricing model used on Wall Street.
With this, the company's expectation is to raise around US$75 billion (R$388.2 billion), in an operation that would value the company at approximately US$1.8 trillion (R$9.3 trillion) and could mark the largest IPO in history.
According to Bloomberg News, however, discussions are still ongoing, and both the terms of the offer - as well as the price and volume of shares available - the amount allocated to individual investors can still change.
The agency also reported that SpaceX must allocate less than 10% of shares to international investors. Since the beginning of the month, demand in Japan has increased from US$2 billion to US$2.5 billion (from R$10.4 billion to R$12.9 billion).
SpaceX's debut on the New York Stock Exchange also tends to pave the way for other artificial intelligence companies to gain space in the financial market. Last week, Anthropic PBC filed its IPO application, followed this week by OpenAI.
According to Bloomberg calculations, together, the three companies could add the equivalent of US$3.6 trillion to the market value of American stock exchanges.
