Space CEO Bridgit Mendler addresses music launch: "It wasn't me"
Actress and singer Bridgit Mendler, 33, had some of her songs leaked last Wednesday (10), around 10 years after leaving the music industry. In recent years, she has served as CEO of the special startup "Northwood Space".
It all started when fans noticed that Bridgit Mendler's profile on the main music platforms contained a new EP, titled "Once Again...", with six tracks never released by the artist.
Bridgit Mendler had not announced the launch on social media. Fans began to theorize whether the tracks were part of a surprise release or whether they were discarded parts from previous projects.
A few hours later, the artist used social media to deny involvement in the release of the tracks, implying that they had been leaked.
"Sorry to disappoint everyone, the release on Spotify wasn't me!", he wrote.
However, he did not stop raising hopes among fans about returning to work with music. "When it's me, believe me, you'll know," she added.
To date, Bridgit Mendler has not deleted the newly released tracks from her platform profiles.
Bridgit Mendler was revealed at Disney and made waves when she participated in the projects "Good Luck, Charlie" (2010-2014) and "Lemonade Mouth" (2011). She released her first album, "Hello My Name Is...", in 2012, and an EP, "Nemesis", in 2016.
The star spent the next few years studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Law School.
