Snap, owner of Snapchat, launched this Tuesday (16) its augmented reality glasses capable of displaying, through the lenses, information such as maps, videos, translation subtitles, among others.
Named Specs, the devices will be sold for US$ 2,195 (R$ 11 thousand, in direct conversion). They are available for pre-sale and will begin to be delivered by December, first to customers in the United States, the United Kingdom and France.
Due to augmented reality, the devices can be used to work, play, browse the internet, watch movies or to measure objects in physical spaces, for example.

According to the manufacturer, the system used by the glasses can display information the size of a 24-inch monitor during work functions. And, when watching movies, it can simulate a 115-inch screen.
Specs also feature a system capable of changing clear lenses to dark lenses in just 10 seconds.
"All design decisions came from the same idea: technology should feel natural. Specs were not designed to replace the real world, but to help people interact with it," Snap said in a statement.
