"Small Creatures": film with Carolina Dieckmmann has trailer released

Starring Carolina Dieckmmann, 47, who is also a producer, the feature film "Little Creatures" had its first trailer released last Tuesday (7). The story follows a family that recently arrived in Brasília in 1986 and the loneliness faced by Helena, who faces loneliness alongside her children when her husband leaves for a work trip.

The film won the Redentor Trophy for Best Fiction Film at the Rio 2025 Festival, and the Redentor Trophy for Best Art Direction, awarded to Claudia Andrade. In addition to Dieckmmann, the cast brings together names such as Caco Ciocler, Leticia Sabatella, Théo Medon, Lorenzo Mello, Fernando Eiras and Michel Melamed.

The drama, directed by Anne Pinheiro Guimarães, talks about unexpected encounters, conflicts and affections, and a family going through a period of transformation that will reveal new possibilities of connection and happiness. The country's capital, in a context of still recent redemocratization, is the backdrop that mixes with the characters' questions and new discoveries, through planned and modernist constructions.

The film is produced by Bananeira Filmes; The film is co-produced by Globo Filmes, Telecine and Canal Brasil. Distribution is by Filmes do Estação in partnership with Bananeira Filmes. The release is scheduled for July 23rd.
