Sisu Repechage receives registrations between June 15th and 19th; check it out

The Ministry of Education (MEC) published this Thursday (21) Notice nº 36/2026, which regulates Sisu+, a complementary and unprecedented stage of the Unified Selection System (Sisu).

The initiative aims to offer remaining places in public higher education institutions for entry in the second half of 2026. Registration will be open from June 15th to 19th, through the Single Access Portal.

Who can participate and how it works
To compete for one of the Sisu+ vacancies, the candidate must meet two mandatory prerequisites:

- Have participated in one or more editions of Enem in the last three years.

- Have applied for places in the regular stage of Sisu 2026.

Different from the traditional format, the system will automatically select the edition of Enem that guarantees the best weighted average for the student, considering the criteria and weights of the chosen course. Each candidate can indicate up to two course options, specifying the shift, place of offer and the institution of their preference.

Strategic focus and administrative efficiency
Participation in the program is restricted to public and free institutions that signed the membership agreement and were part of the regular stage of Sisu 2026. The MEC projects that Sisu+ will be used mainly for:

- Courses that historically depend on successive calls to fill classes.

- Institutions that would hold their own entrance exams for the second semester.

- Degree courses, engineering and strategic areas linked to public policies.

- Campuses located in the interior of the country, increasing the visibility of vacancies outside large urban centers.

Benefit for institutions: the measure strengthens universities and public institutes by centralizing the process, reducing administrative costs and avoiding the dispersion of calendars and rules for their own selection processes.

Modernization of the system
Although the regular stage of Sisu 2026 has already shown an improvement in occupancy rates - including in degrees with a history of low demand -, Sisu+ arrives as a fine adjustment to eliminate the vacancy of vacancies.

According to the ministry, the new tool is part of a broad cycle of system modernization, which includes recent updates to the Quota Law, improvements to the registration platform and better organization in the distribution of vacancies in the country.
