♫ OPINION
♬ Simone will turn the musical page. Now the singer has once and for all ended the retrospective and commemorative phase of her 50-year career, a cycle that began in 2023 with the premiere of the show "Tô volta" and expanded in 2025 with another show with a different script, but identical aesthetics to the 2023 show.
On August 1st, Simone debuts in São Paulo (SP) a really new show, "Que Mulher é essa?!", kicking off a national tour that will travel through seven Brazilian capitals until the 25th. of September. The big news of the show "What woman is this?!" is the fact of connecting Cigarra with Ana Frango Elétrico.
28-year-old singer and songwriter from Rio de Janeiro, Ana Frango Elétrico has been rising since 2019 in the indie pop universe with albums that stood out precisely for their arrangements and unusual timbre.
Simone's connection with Ana Frango Elétrico and with Ronaldo Fraga - artistic director of the show, which also constitutes a novelty in the MPB universe - should inject freshness into the sound of the singer.
Since performing live during the social isolation of the covid-19 pandemic, Simone has appeared on the scene with a lighter and happier image. The inaccessible diva aura has been diluting over the last few years. The artist's lightness was reflected in Simone's last great shows, including the only performance of "Embarcação", a show debuted in May by the singer with Francis Hime that did not go ahead due to a domestic accident suffered by the pianist and conductor.
Under artistic direction by Ronaldo Fraga and musical direction by Ana Frango Elétrico, Simone has everything to make the show "What woman is this?!" another happy page of a career that now spans 53 years.
