Shock in the air, explosion and deaths: what is known about the plane crash in RJ

At least six people died in a plane crash in Rio de Janeiro this Sunday morning (14). Two small aircraft crashed into an electric vehicle yard in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, southwest zone of Rio de Janeiro.

According to the Fire Department, at least 20 cars were destroyed when the aircraft crashed.

The accident
The Fire Department reported that there was an initial record of at least six fatalities after the aircraft crashed this morning.

According to COR-Rio, the side lane at the Gilka Machado BRT station, towards Santa Cruz, remains closed after the incident.

In a statement, the Civil Police reported that the case is ongoing at the 42nd DP (Recreio dos Bandeirantes). Forensic examination was requested for the location and agents are carrying out investigations to investigate the facts.

The incident, which is still ongoing, still has the support of the Fire Department, CET (Traffic Engineering Company), Comlurb and teams from the 31st BPM (Recreio dos Bandeirantes), who work to isolate the area.
