'Shit' or fight over bet? Behind the scenes of the show that Gusttavo Lima canceled twice in PE

Singer Gusttavo Lima canceled, twice, the show he would perform in Surubim, in Agreste de Pernambuco, during the São João program.
The first, scheduled for June 18th, alleging non-compliance with the contract by the contractors. The second, last Saturday (27), claiming to have food poisoning.
Publicly, the story was told like this: the artist said he had "absurd diarrhea", asked the public for forgiveness and informed that he would return the performance fee.
"Guys from Surubim, a thousand apologies for not attending today's show. Food poisoning. Translating, really shit", he posted on social media.
On the other side, mayor Cléber Chaparral (União Brasil) took to the party stage and called the singer a "thief" after being informed of the second withdrawal. The following day, he disputed the statement that the fee had been returned in full.
Behind the scenes, however, producers involved in the hiring claim that the problems began well before the artist's alleged illness.

Impasse because of bet
According to producer Bruno Rego, partner at BG Promotions, the impasse began because of sponsorship of the party.
The company hired the singer for São João de Petrolina and, in Surubim, acted as an intermediary between the city hall and the artist's team.

On the occasion, the artist's team announced the cancellation and released a note about the case.
"Upon arriving at the event location, our team found non-compliance with items stipulated in the contract (...), including the publication of the artist's image alongside the VaideBet company brand, an association that, in principle, the artist does not authorize under any circumstances."
Despite the divergence, Gusttavo Lima and the contractors returned to negotiations and reached an agreement to reschedule the performance for June 27th.

On the new date, Gusttavo Lima maintained a tight schedule.
At 10pm, he performed at Pátio do Forró, in Caruaru. Then I would continue to Surubim, about 80 kilometers away, as agreed. The presentation, as we know, did not take place.
The singer left Caruaru towards Recife Airport and, from there, went to Goiânia (GO).

Rego states that, after the disagreements involving bookmakers, new differences arose during the preparation of the second show.
According to him, the singer's team requested, among other changes, the removal of flags that displayed the VaideBet brand spread throughout the event. He also demonstrated dissatisfaction with the order of the party's attractions.
After the postponement, Gusttavo Lima ended up being "scheduled" to perform after Luan Santana, around midnight, in the early hours of Sunday.
"The first cancellation was because of bet. The second, due to a tantrum", says the producer, in an interview with g1.
Disease among producers
BG Promoções is responsible for major events in the Northeast, such as ExpoCrato, in Cariri (CE), and Carnaval Boa Viagem, a private box in the South Zone of Recife (PE), where Gusttavo Lima has already performed a few times.
In light of the sequence of events, Rego states that he no longer intends to hire the singer until there is a retraction public.
"He is a gigantic artist and very respected in the market. But today I don't hire any more. Who guarantees that he won't cancel at the last minute again?"
Businesswoman Manoela Furtado Rego, partner at BG, also criticized the singer's stance.
"It was a situation of ego, vanity and irresponsibility. It is very easy for those who have the power of the microphone to only tell the version that suits them", he stated on his social networks.
Millionaire fees
During São João, Gusttavo Lima was one of the highest paid artists on the northeastern circuit.
In Petrolina, he received R$ 1.5 million for the performance held on June 20th (the highest fee among the more than 100 artists who performed in the city).
In Surubim, his contract provided for payment of R$ 1.3 million.
After the back and forth of versions about the case, the city council informed that the episode is not yet over and that it will adopt the appropriate administrative and legal measures
