Shakira will be the attraction of one of the three opening ceremonies of the World Cup; Anitta will also give a presentation

Singer Shakira will perform in Mexico City at the first of the three World Cup opening ceremonies.
The Colombian singer will perform "Dai Dai", the tournament's official song, before the opening match between Mexico, one of the host countries, and South Africa, this Thursday (11). The presentation will be made alongside Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
FIFA has planned opening ceremonies in each of the host countries, with events also before the opening games in the United States and Canada.
The world football governing body released the program for the show in Mexico, which will also feature Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná and Tyla. FIFA reported that more artists will be announced for the ceremonies in the USA and Canada.
In Toronto, on June 12, Alanis Morissette and Michael Bublé will be the main attractions before the match between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Later on the same day, Katy Perry, pop star Lisa, from the group BLACKPINK, Nigerian afrobeats singer Rema, Brazilian Anitta and rapper Future will perform in Los Angeles before the clash between the United States and Paraguay.
The three ceremonies are being produced by the Italian Marco Balich, responsible for the opening ceremony of this year's Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games. Each event will be held approximately 90 minutes before the matches begin.
Shakira is also among the headliners of the World Cup final halftime show, in a similar format to the Super Bowl. The singer will share the stage with Madonna and the South Korean band BTS.
When the World Cup was last played in the United States, in 1994, Diana Ross performed at the opening ceremony in Chicago and became famous for missing a penalty during the spectacle.
The song Dai Dai aims to raise US$100 million for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
