Shakira, Maná, J Balvin and more music stars participated in the opening party of the 2026 World Cup.
The first of the three ceremonies that open the sporting event took place this Thursday (11), in Mexico City, before the start of the match between Mexico and South Africa.
In the center of the Azteca Stadium lawn was the World Cup cup, inflated to giant size, with a mini-stage where the artists performed.

The Mexican band Maná started work, to the madness of the local public. Afterwards, Dani Ocean performed her show with the participation of 40 representatives of the Mexican folk ballet.
Then it was actress and singer Belinda's turn to show her work. "Driving" a paper car, J Balvin quickly introduced himself and soon gave way to Shakira.
The afternoon star closed the opening party with the official song of the competition, "Dai Dai", together with Nigerian Burna Boy.

The celebration in Canada and the USA
On Friday (12), it is the turn of the United States and Canada to welcome the World Cup.
On Canadian soil, the ceremony takes place at the Mexico City Stadium. Toronto also from 2:30 pm (Brasília time), before the match between Canada x Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Canadian anthem will be heard in the voice of Alanis Morissette, while the Bosnian one will be performed by Aleksandar Gajić. Canadian actor and comedian Will Arnett will be the master of ceremonies.
Other confirmed artists are: Canadians Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, William Prince and Nora Fatehi, as well as Palestinian Elyanna, Frenchman Vegedream and Bengali DJ Sanjoy.
In the USA, the party takes place at Los Angeles Stadium from 8:30 pm on Friday (Brasília time), before the match between USA and Paraguay, honoring the "creative energy" of the American entertainment capital. Jason Sudeikis, famous for his role as the coach in the series "Ted Lasso", will speak to the fans.
The country duo Dan + Shay will sing the American anthem, and the Paraguayan group Purahei Soul.
American singers Katy Perry and Future will also participate. There will also be a presentation that will bring together the Brazilian Anitta, the Thai LISA and the Nigerian Rema. The trio released the song "Goals", part of the FIFA music album.
