See the teams classified second for the round of 16 of the Libertadores

The last round of the Libertadores group stage this week will define the 16 classified in the round of 16. And the final position among the teams that advance is of utmost importance for the sequence of the competition.

Among Brazilians, Flamengo and Corinthians have already secured themselves at the top of their groups. In the list of runners-up, Mirassol secured their spot after defeat to Lanús last Tuesday (26).

Next Friday, Conmebol will draw the duels for the round of 16, which begin after the 2026 World Cup.

The two best-placed teams in each group guarantee a direct place in the round of 16, while the third-placed teams go on to the Copa Sudamericana playoff.

The clubs that finish the group stage at the top of their brackets will be distributed in Pot 1 of the knockout draw. The runners-up will form Pot 2, and the clashes will necessarily take place between teams from these two pots.

The draw has no restrictions. With this, teams from the same country can face each other, as well as opponents who have previously shared a group. Furthermore, the leaders will have the benefit of playing in the round of 16 second leg playing at home.
