School in the North of São Paulo suspends classes after fire; look

A fire broke out at Escola Professor Augusto Ribeiro de Carvalho, located on Rua Professor João Machado, in Freguesia do Ó, north of São Paulo, on the afternoon of this Friday (22).

According to the Fire Department, the fire was concentrated in a room at the site, where wallets, books, among other objects were stored. The fire was extinguished and no casualties were reported.

In a statement, the school reported that classes today (22) were suspended due to the incident. There is still no information about how the case happened.

According to firefighters, part of the structure was affected by the flames. Videos show a large amount of smoke coming from the ceiling at the time of the incident.
