Schedule for the opening of the World Cup in Canada: see times and attractions
After the opening of the 2026 World Cup in Mexico, it will be Canada's turn to host its own World Cup celebration ceremony. The event is scheduled for this Friday (12), at BMO Field, in Toronto, and will take place an hour and a half before the Canadian team's debut in the competition.
The program starts at 2:30 pm (Brasília time), preceding the duel between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina, scheduled for 4 pm. As with other tournament venues, FIFA prepared a show with music and cultural presentations to highlight the identity of the host country.

Cup will have three opening ceremonies
Unlike previous editions, the 2026 World Cup will feature three opening ceremonies. The first took place this Thursday (11), in Mexico City. This Friday (12), Canada and the United States will also promote special events before the matches of their respective teams.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian team will only make its World Cup debut on June 13th, when it faces Morocco in the first round of the group stage.
