SC Civil Defense issues warning for persistent rain in six regions
The Secretariat of Protection and Civil Defense of Santa Catarina issued, this Tuesday (30), a yellow alert, that is, of moderate risk, for persistent rains in six regions of the state.
The warning came into effect at 6:57 am and should last until 9:57 am, mainly for the northern region of Santa Catarina. The folder reinforces that in addition to rain, there is a risk of gusts of wind, lightning, flooding and flash floods.
Among the regions on alert are Planalto Norte, Litoral Norte, Grande Florianópolis, Baixo, Médio and Alto Vale do Itajaí.
The Middle Vale do Itajaí, where the municipality of Blumenau is located; Baixo do Vale do Itajaí, closer to beaches such as Balneário Camboriú; and the North Coast are among the areas that must be reached.
Thunderstorm forecast
Earlier, Civil Defense issued a high-risk orange alert for thunderstorms in the same region, with risks of hail. The warning was valid until 7:09 am.
In the interior of the state, thirteen municipalities were at very high risk of storms until 7:35 am. See which ones:

- Corupá;
- Doutor Pedrinho;
- Guaramirim;
- Jaraguá do Sul;
- Joinville;
- Massaranduba;
- Pomerode; South.

The Secretariat informed that it continues to monitor meteorological conditions and is prepared to act promptly if the situation worsens.
The folder also warns that in case of emergency, citizens should call the Fire Department at number 193 or Civil Defense at number 199.
Weather in Florianópolis
Florianópolis will have a week marked by rain and mild temperatures until Sunday (5). During this period, temperatures vary between a minimum of 9°C and a maximum of 21°C.
The first few days concentrate the most intense episodes of precipitation, while the turn of the month brings a tendency for improvement in atmospheric conditions, with a reduction in rain and humidity.
This Tuesday, there is rain forecast, but of moderate intensity. Temperatures range between a minimum of 14°C and a maximum of 19°C, with thermal sensations of 15°C in the morning, 18°C during the day, 18°C in the afternoon and 18°C at night.
The probability of rain remains at 100%, with an estimated volume of 10.06 mm. Air humidity will be 92%, and winds will be weaker, at 2.62 m/s. The ultraviolet index will be low, at 1.18.

Civil Defense has listed precautions that the population should take at risk of intense rain. See which ones:
- Look for a sheltered place, away from trees, signs and power poles;
- Stay away from windows and turn off electronic devices;
- Never stay in water;
- Don't drive through flooded areas;
- Avoid driving on submerged bridges and bridges;
- Be careful with children near rivers and streams.
