Sarah Sheeva reveals that she blocked 'Playboy' from being invited to SNZ: "do it yourself"

In an interview with the program "Sensacional", presented by Daniela Albuquerque on RedeTV!, now pastor Sarah Sheeva - who has preached celibacy for 25 years - recalled the behind-the-scenes of the pop group SNZ formed with sisters Nãna Shara and Zabelê.

In the interview, she recalled two remarkable moments in the trio's trajectory: refusing an invitation to pose nude in Playboy magazine and their initial resistance to pursuing an artistic career.

The daughters of Baby do Brasil and Pepeu Gomes burst onto the national scene with three albums recorded and hits such as "Retrato Imaginário". The height of SNZ's commercial success attracted interest from the men's publication, but came up against Sarah's personal convictions.

"I didn't imagine it would be as successful as it was; it was a resounding success. My sisters thought I was very 'believer'. We received an offer to do 'Playboy'. I didn't accept it and said: 'you two do it'. I'm not going to show anything, I'm a believer. I didn't want to be sexy, I wanted to keep that, as I still think to this day. Your sexuality is a privilege of someone who made a commitment to you", said Sarah.

In addition to her stance on exposing her body, the singer revealed that entering the music market itself was not part of her plans and that the decision to join the trio came from family insistence. The main fear was repeating the daily life without privacy that he witnessed as a child due to his parents' popularity.

"I didn't want to sing, I didn't want to be a singer. I had this artistic side, but I didn't want the deprivation caused by fame. I went through this with my parents, who were very famous when we were children and couldn't go to a shopping mall, for example. They convinced me and I ended up accepting to be part of it", he added.
