At a time of challenges related to climate change in the global coffee market, price volatility and new consumer demands, the São Paulo Coffee Festival opened up space to discuss the direction of the production chain.

Held between the 26th and 28th of June, at the Ibirapuera Park Biennial, the festival brings together more than 150 brands and expects to receive around 16 thousand visitors, consolidating itself as one of the main meetings of the specialty coffee chain in Latin America. In addition to tastings and sensory experiences, the proposal is to expand discussions on innovation, sustainability and consumption.

The event program includes "The Laboratory", an environment dedicated to debates with experts, producers, roasters, baristas and industry professionals about the present and future of the sector.

In the space, experts address topics ranging from production and processing techniques to market trends, traceability, quality, technology and consumer behavior.

The program seeks to bring together different links in the coffee chain, connecting rural producers, researchers, entrepreneurs and consumers around the challenges and opportunities of the sector.

The debates take place in a favorable scenario for the specialty coffee segment, driven by increased consumer interest in products of known origin, different preparation methods and sustainable practices.

At the same time, the chain faces challenges related to climate impacts on production, rising costs and fluctuations in the international market.

In addition to the debate space, the São Paulo Coffee Festival offers workshops, barista championships, roasting demonstrations, gastronomic experiences, musical performances and activities focused on the world of specialty coffees. The program also includes initiatives to promote Brazilian production and coffee-related tourism.

With a focus on knowledge and innovation, the event reinforces the importance of coffee not only as one of the main products of Brazilian agribusiness, but also as a segment that seeks to add value through technology, sustainability and market differentiation.
