The São Julhão Festival takes place for the first time in São Paulo, at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, between the 7th and 9th of August. The event's central theme is the celebration of northeastern culture, inspired by the documentary "São Julhão: O Nordeste em Festa", by Globoplay.

Tickets have been available to the public since last Wednesday (20), for access to the concert arena. At Charles Miller Square, entry is free and will feature cultural programming, typical foods and other activities.

The opening shows, on the 7th, will be by João Gomes, Alceu Valença and Dorgival Dantas, a meeting of different generations of forró and piseiro. On the 8th, Henry Freitas, the À Vontade project - formed by the trio Raí, Zezo and Luan -, Zé Vaqueiro, Mari Fernandez and Fagner, will take the stage. On the 9th, the closing ceremony brings Xand Avião, Calcinha Preta, Pablo, Toque Dez, Nattan and Filho do Piseiro.
