Russia suspends navigation in the Don-Azov canal and affects grain trade
Russia has temporarily suspended traffic through the Don-Azov Canal, a waterway that connects the Don River to the Sea of Azov, two sources in the grain export sector said on Friday.
The decision followed a Ukrainian attack on 13 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov this Friday, including 10 tankers, and could affect almost a quarter of Russian wheat exports passing through the Sea of Azov, according to expert estimates.
