Rubio talks about unblocking US aid to Ukraine and warns of the risk of escalating the war against Russia

The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said that there will be news "very soon" about the promised US aid to Ukraine, but warned this Wednesday (3) of a "real" risk of escalating the war against Russia.

Congress approved US$ military aid 400 million (R$ 2.03 billion) for Kiev, but it needs to be passed on by the Trump administration's Department of Defense, which has not yet happened.
Recently, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, asked Western powers for more help to contain Russian attacks on his territory.
Rubio, however, weighed in on the situation, speaking about the fear of an escalation in the conflict.
"Ukraine has become increasingly effective in carrying out long-range strikes on Russian territory," Rubio told a congressional committee on Wednesday, adding that "it's one of the things that reminds us why it's important to try to end this war if we can, because the risk of escalation is real, more real than it was two years ago." Ukrainian.
The offensive, which hit Russian military and infrastructure areas, took place hours before the start of the annual economic forum promoted by Moscow to attract foreign investment, in a clear attempt to embarrass the head of the Kremlin.
A day earlier, in the early hours of Tuesday (2), Russia launched several air strikes against Ukraine.
According to the latest balance updated by the Ukrainian authorities, 22 people died and 138 were injured in the action that hit 38 locations in different parts of the country.
It was the third major attack on Kiev in less than a month.
In Dnipro, the country's fourth largest city, which was also heavily attacked, rescue teams working in the rubble of residential buildings pulled out the bodies of a 3-year-old child, as well as those of a woman and her 8-year-old son.
