Rota lieutenant remains in serious condition and undergoing neurological monitoring

The lieutenant of Rota (Rondas Ostensivas Tobias de Aguiar) and brother of Eloá Pimentel, Ronickson Pimentel dos Santos, shot during an attempted execution on Saturday morning (27), remains in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) in a very serious condition.

In a bulletin updated this Sunday (28), the Military Police reported that the officer, admitted to the Mário Covas State Hospital, in Santo André, ABC Paulista, remains under continuous neurological monitoring and with an "unchanged health condition".

According to the police, although the condition is very serious, Pimentel remains stable and is "fighting for his life". He was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning, where he underwent surgery and was admitted with medical support.

After the attack, the officer received first aid from Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service) and was taken to a hospital unit by the Águia helicopter from the PM Air Group.

The police officer was shot in the head during an attempted execution on Saturday morning (27), on Avenida Goiás, in São Caetano do Sul, Greater São Paulo.

According to CNN Brasil, the lieutenant was leaving a gym when he was surprised by two boys on a motorcycle. At the time, the suspects stopped next to Pimentel on an avenue and fired shots. See the moment of the attack:

Suspects were arrested
The suspects involved in the attempted execution of the Rota lieutenant were arrested this Sunday morning (28), in Guianases, in the east zone of São Paulo.

According to the Military Police, the suspects, aged 52, 40 and 24, would have provided logistical and transport support on the day of the attack. One of them confessed to participating in the crime and the youngest, according to the police, will be released.
