Romário reaffirms his desire to have played for Corinthians: "I always really liked it"

Romário never hid his admiration for Corinthians and, this week, he spoke again about his unfulfilled desire to have played in the black and white shirt. Participating in the program Hora dos Craques, on Romário TV, the legendary striker addressed the subject again.

When asked by presenter Benjamin Back if Timão would be the team he would like to have played for, Baixinho was honest: "Holy shit. I've always really liked Corinthians, especially the fans."

Benja continued, stating that it would have been a dream to see the top scorer play with the black and white shirt, and the former athlete agreed, reinforcing that the teams he would have liked to have defended, but didn't happen, were Corinthians and Botafogo.

It almost ended!

The four-time world champion with the Seleção already revealed, in 2017, that during the MSI era he had conversations with Timão, but the deal ended up not materializing: "That Iranian was there, Andrés Sanchez was just starting. It came very close to happening."

In Brazil, Romário defended Vasco, Flamengo, Fluminense and América, all from Rio de Janeiro. In total, 9 titles were won, with highlights being the Copa Mercosul, Brasileirão and Campeonato Carioca. In international football, he shone with the shirts of PSV Eindhoven and Barcelona, and won national titles in both the Netherlands and Spain.
