Virginia Lee Jones, sister of singer Rita Lee (1947-2023), honored actress Lilia Cabral, 68, backstage at the play "Rita Lee - Balada da Louca", held at Teatro Faap, in São Paulo, last Sunday (28).

After watching the exhibition, she greeted the artist and the creator of the show, Guilherme Samora. "A very special visit. Vivi, thank you for letting us kidnap you to watch a piece of your sister's story! It was very special! Love you!", wrote the author in the caption of a set of recordings of the moment.

When republishing the photos from the meeting, Lilia was thrilled to learn that the special guest was in the audience. "What a beautiful meeting", she wrote in a photo in which the two appear hugging.

Theatrical plays about the life of Rita Lee
Based on the book "Rita Lee: Another Autobiography", written by the singer herself, the theatrical production addresses the last years of the singer's personal and professional life in a humorous and musical way. The season based on Samora's text premiered on May 22nd and will run until August 9th at the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado theater.

In addition to the exhibition, a second production entitled "Rita Lee - A Musical Autobiography" featured Mel Lisboa, 44, as Rita. The third season of the play also continues with screenings until August 30th at Teatro Porto, also in the capital of São Paulo.

Just like the first, this theatrical work also tells the story of the tropicalista based on her autobiography, released in 2016. With an extra musical touch, the narrative and the cast gained a new show format, including an appearance at The Town, tribute performances in cities across the country and, recently, at Virada Cultural de SP.
