Rice makes promise after Arsenal's defeat to PSG: "We will be back"

Declan Rice maintained his speech of confidence despite Arsenal's defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, this Saturday (30), at the Puskás Arena, in Budapest. After the penalty shootout setback, the English midfielder assured that the team will compete again for the European title.

"We'll be back", said Rice after the match, demonstrating confidence in the London club's project.

Arsenal finished runners-up after losing 4-3 in the penalty shootout, after a 1-1 draw in normal time and extra time. Gabriel Magalhães wasted one of the shots when he shot over the crossbar, allowing PSG to confirm their second consecutive title in the competition.

The English team took the lead after just six minutes of play. Kai Havertz received the ball in the box and hit it hard to beat goalkeeper Matvey Safonov.

PSG found it difficult to face the opposing defense, but reached a draw 20 minutes into the second half. Ousmane Dembélé converted the penalty after Cristhian Mosquera fouled Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

With no further changes to the score during the final stretch of the match and extra time, the decision went to penalties. In the charges, the French showed greater efficiency and secured yet another continental conquest.

With the title, PSG became only the second club in the modern Champions League era to win the tournament in consecutive seasons. Arsenal, on the other hand, ends another outstanding campaign in the competition, with Rice reinforcing the expectation that the team will fight for the trophy again in the coming years.
