Research reveals that the majority of Brazilians use AI to create their CV
A survey shows that the majority of Brazilians looking for a job already use artificial intelligence to improve their CV. Technology can help adapt the document to selection processes, but experts warn of the dangers of standardizing resumes.

After spending 17 years in the same company, account manager Camila Vogel returned to the job market and realized that she needed to update her resume to adapt to the new selection stages, many of which were carried out with the help of artificial intelligence. To do this, she also decided to use the tool.
"I needed to understand what standards were being used in the market today. I used artificial intelligence to identify keywords, job descriptions that were related to my profile", she says.
A study carried out by a human resources consultancy with 60 thousand professionals in 36 countries, including Brazil, shows that more than half of Brazilian candidates use artificial intelligence to adapt CVs and increase the chances of passing through companies' automatic filters.
But the Research also shows a side effect: the standardization of profiles. According to recruiters, many resumes end up looking similar, which can harm those trying to stand out.
"Increasingly, resumes look similar. This creates difficulty for the candidate to differentiate themselves and also for recruiters to identify who really has a profile that best suits the vacancy", explains Lucas Toledo, executive director of Michael Page Brasil.

The non-profit organization led by Alessandro works to insert young people into the job market. According to him, artificial intelligence should be used as support, but it cannot replace the candidate's personal experiences and individual characteristics.
"It's about seeking a balance, so it can certainly use artificial intelligence, but once the CV is ready, it has to complement it with its own things and perhaps leave the keywords, but include important points of your journey that the intelligence has suppressed. I understand that everything you do with artificial intelligence, especially your CV, then you have to complete it with the human one to make it different from the others", says Alessandro Saade, executive superintendent of Espro.
Experts recommend that candidates review the texts generated by the tools before sending their CV and avoid copying ready-made models without adaptations.
The research also points out that the use of artificial intelligence in the professional environment is more common among Brazilians than on the global average. In Brazil, 71% of professionals say they use technology at work. In the rest of the world, the rate is 64%.
