Report shows Palmeiras' difference in athlete training

Palmeiras is one of the teams that generate the most revenue in Brazilian football, but according to the Convocados 2026 Report, produced by Convocados and OutField with sponsorship from Galapagos Capital, the number drops a lot when not counting athlete transfers.

In 2025, counting on athlete transfers and the Club World Cup, Palmeiras was second in the total ranking, only behind Flamengo.

Apart from player sales, the numbers are impressive. The leader remains the same, but Corinthians, which is sixth in the general ranking, overtakes Palmeiras and takes second place. Total revenue decreases drastically, dropping from one billion to just a little over R$700 million.

On CNN Esportes S/A this Sunday (31), César Grafietti, an economist specializing in sports finance and responsible for the report, related the current moment of Verdão with that of Corinthians, saying that the black and white club needs a reformulation.

But, essentially, Corinthians needs to reformulate itself internally, in the sense that it is a club with huge potential and trains very few players. He has to use the example of Palmeiras, which today is a great trainer, and seek out all his legion of athletes who compete there in what they call the terrain, to precisely train and generate revenue to be able to create a more accelerated process of payment and reorganization of debts.
