Renault Kwid 2027: the brand's entry-level car receives new features
The Renault Kwid gained some new features for the 2027 line. The changes, however, took place for the Indian market. Although the update is discreet, the model serves as an important indication of what should arrive on the Brazilian market in the coming months.
In terms of appearance, it has changed little. The Kwid has new 14-inch hubcaps, a redesigned rear badge and small touches to the exterior finish. Headlights, taillights, bumpers and LED daytime running lights remain unchanged.
Inside, the main new feature is the steering wheel with the new Renault logo and small finishing updates. Depending on the version, the hatch also expands the list of equipment and now offers up to six airbags in the Indian market.
In terms of size, the model should not undergo any changes. It is 3.73 meters long, 1.57 meters wide and has a wheelbase of 2.42 meters. As a result, the Kwid's trunk reaches 290 liters of capacity.

In Brazil, the Kwid is also one of the most economical cars. Consumption reaches 14.4 km/l in the city and 15.4 km/l on the highway, when filled with gasoline.
In terms of performance, the model must also continue with the same mechanical assembly. 1.0L aspirated engine with 71 hp and 10 kgfm of torque. The transmission is always a 5-speed manual.

The Kwid was initially developed for India and, later, adapted for emerging markets such as Brazil.
Since the launch of the first generation in 2015, the model's main visual and technological evolutions usually debut first on the Indian market before being incorporated into the Brazilian version
Despite this, the car sold in Brazil is not a simple copy of the Indian one. When it arrived in the country in 2017, the Kwid received important structural reinforcements to meet Brazilian safety standards, such as four airbags.
