The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Sunday (14) that he had reached a peace agreement with Iran.
In a post on the Truth Social network, Trump celebrated that the understanding between the two countries "is now concluded" and ordered an end to the military blockade that the USA was carrying out in the region: "Ships of the world, start your engines. Leave the oil flow!", he stated.
Despite the announcement, the signing of the agreement has not yet taken place. It is scheduled to take place next Friday (19), in Switzerland, and in a press conference this Monday (15), the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry admitted that the "deep distrust" towards the USA remains.
This is not the first time that the US president guarantees that the end of the war is near, although it is the most promising statement after almost four months of war.
