Remember the case of Eloá Pimentel, sister of a Rota lieutenant shot in SP
Eloá Cristina Pimentel's older brother, Rota (Rondas Ostensivas Tobias de Aguiar) lieutenant Ronickson Pimentel dos Santos, was shot during an attempted execution this Saturday morning (27), on Avenida Goiás, in São Caetano do Sul, Greater São Paulo.
Eloá was kidnapped when she was 15 years old, by her ex-boyfriend Lindemberg Fernandes Alves, 22 at the time. The case moved the country and was broadcast in real time on several television channels in 2008.
There were 100 hours of negotiations with the police, accompanied by testimonies from neighbors, speculation about the motivations for the crime, tension over the outcome and even an interview with the kidnapper himself.
Eloá met Lindemberg when she was 12 years old. At the time of the crime, he broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment, who was doing school work with colleagues. Initially, two hostages were released, with Eloá and Nayara, a friend of the victim and one of the survivors of the case, remaining in the apartment.
Eloá was kept in prison with the criminal for four days. On the last day, agents carried out an operation to invade the apartment. After the police invaded, Lindemberg fired three shots: one of them hit Nayara's face and two others hit Eloá's head and groin.
The case is often remembered as an example of femicide, with clear signs of gender-based hatred and the criminal's attempt to control the victim.
At the time, the man was arrested in the act after the police invaded the crime scene. He was later convicted of 12 crimes, including double homicide, attempted murder and false imprisonment. The initial sentence was 98 years and 10 months in prison, later reduced to 39 years and three months in 2013.
He is currently serving his sentence at the Dr. José Augusto Salgado Penitentiary, in Tremembé (SP), known for housing "famous prisoners". And according to his defense, the detainee has "exemplary behavior", studying and working since the moment he was arrested.
In 2021, the Court granted progression to the semi-open regime, a decision that was revoked months later. At the end of 2022, he got the benefit again, which allows him to work or study outside prison during the day, returning to sleep.

In March this year, the São Paulo Public Prosecutor's Office rejected Lindemberg's request for a sentence reduction. In the decision, the MP explained that he did not reach the minimum score required for participation in the test to generate remission of the sentence.

According to information confirmed by CNN Brasil, the police officer was leaving a gym when he was surprised by two boys on a motorcycle.

According to the report, Ronickson was leaving a gym before the attempted execution.
According to the PM (Military Police), he received first aid from Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service) while still on site and was then taken to a hospital unit by the Águia helicopter from the PM Air Group.
In the early afternoon of this Saturday, sources told CNN Brasil about the police officer's death. However, according to official information from the PM, the victim is still undergoing medical care and is undergoing surgery.
