Businessman Enrique Riquelme, candidate for president of Real Madrid, once again stirred up the club's electoral dispute by announcing that he intends to hire Erling Haaland and Rodri if he is elected in the election scheduled for June 7th.

The statement was made during his participation in the Spanish program "El Hormiguero", where the manager presented the possible arrivals as part of his project for the team's future.

During the interview, Riquelme appeared wearing a Real Madrid shirt printed with Haaland's name and displayed an authenticated document relating to campaign promises. According to him, the commitment made foresees personal consequences if the reinforcements are not implemented.

According to the candidate, the club will continue to belong entirely to the members and will not be sold under any circumstances. In the document presented, Riquelme also states that, if he does not fulfill his promises involving Haaland and Rodri, he will assume the payment of all monthly fees for Real Madrid members in the following season.

The most detailed statements were directed at Rodri, Manchester City midfielder and one of the main names in European football today. Riquelme highlighted that the position occupied by the Spaniard is considered one of the priorities for strengthening the Merengue squad.

"He is a fantastic player who plays in a position that Real Madrid needs to reinforce. We have already spoken with his agent; we have to respect his club, but if I am president, he will play for Real Madrid. I will do everything in my power," he said.

The promise involving Haaland also drew attention because he is one of the most valued athletes on the international market. The Norwegian striker is often named as one of the biggest targets for European clubs and has already had his name linked to Real Madrid in different transfer windows.

This is not the first time that Riquelme has presented impactful proposals during the campaign. Recently, in an interview with the radio program "Partidazo de COPE", the businessman stated that he already has a coach lined up to take over the team if he wins the presidency. At the time, he also questioned José Mourinho's return to the club, a move that has been speculated by the Spanish press.

Riquelme will try to defeat Florentino Pérez in the election next Saturday (6).
