♬ Singer and composer worshiped as an entity by a fervent following, Raul Seixas (June 28, 1945 - August 21, 1989) would have turned 81 years old in this Sunday. Even without the status of an anniversary as it is not a round date, the 81st birthday of the Bahian artist - whose work is one of the pillars of Brazilian rock - motivates three vinyl releases, including the edition of a new single with an approach to the music of the group Rolling Stones and reissues of two albums by Maluco beauty in the physical LP format.
Owner of the collection of the record label Copacabana, a Brazilian recording company that was extinct in 1998, the multinational Universal Music re-releases Raul's last solo album, "A Pedra do Gênesis", originally released in 1988 by Copacabana still in LP format, as the CD was not yet the dominant medium in the Brazilian recording market at the time.
With original songs such as "A lei", "Areia da hourpulheta" and "Cavalos calados", the album "A Pedra do Gênesis" alluded in the title to the rock formed around four billion years ago and collected by astronauts in 1971 during the Apollo 15 mission. Norte and Zé Martins, 1953).

The independent label Record Collector Brasil is promoting two re-releases with the status of memorabilia items. The first is the new single "Raul Rock Club - 45 anos", which presents the first official phonographic record of the home recording of "Lady Jane" (Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, 1966) made in 1984 by Raul at the artist's residence, in Itaim, a neighborhood in the city of São Paulo (SP).
Mentor of the Raul Rock Club fan club, Sylvio Passos accompanies the singer as he approaches the music released 60 years ago by the band The Rolling Stones. The audio of the recording had already been circulating on YouTube for six years, but unofficially and without proper treatment. Still on Side A, in addition to "Lady Jane", the single features "Boneco de papel", a song - also unreleased on record - written by Raul and Sylvio Passos. On side B, the group Putos Brothers Band, led by Passos, shows the blues "Eu toco Raul".

The other relaunch of the Record Collector Brasil label is the edition, in double LP format and with a limited run of 500 copies, of the posthumous album "Se o radio não taco...", released in 1994 on CD and single LP with the live recording of a show performed by Raul Seixas in Brasília (DF), in 1974.
The 2026 edition, in addition to incorporating six new tracks absent from the 1994 edition due to lack of space, comes with a vaunted improvement in the technical quality of the show's recording. Using the original reel-to-reel tape, Sanjai Cardoso carried out a new audio transfer, as well as new mixing and mastering, with the intention of improving the sound of the instruments and the singing of the ever-revived Raul Seixas, owner of one of the richest trunks in Brazilian music.
