Ram Dakota Big Horn 2027: new version arrives with a price of R$ 249 thousand
Ram announces the expansion of the Dakota line with the arrival of the Big Horn version, which now occupies the entry-level position in the mid-size pickup range. The strategy seeks to increase the model's competitiveness in one of the most competitive segments of the Brazilian market, currently dominated by traditional names such as Toyota Hilux, Chevrolet S10 and Ford Ranger.
Despite assuming the role of initial configuration, the Dakota Big Horn arrives equipped with a mechanical and technological package that, according to the manufacturer, brings together features normally found in superior versions of the competition. Among the highlights are driving assistance items, a 360-degree camera and a multimedia center with wireless connectivity.
The new version continues with the 2.2 four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, capable of delivering 200 hp of power and 450 Nm of torque. The set works in conjunction with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. According to data released by the brand, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 9.9 seconds.
The Dakota Big Horn also preserves important features for professional applications and off-road use. The model offers 4×2, 4×4 Auto and 4×4 Low traction, as well as mechanical locking of the rear differential, hill descent control and four driving modes: Normal, Sport, Snow and Sand/Mud. The pickup has a load capacity of 1,020 kg, a bucket volume of 1,210 liters and a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tons, figures in line with the segment standard.

One of the main arguments for the Dakota Big Horn is the list of equipment. Even though it is the entry-level option in the range, the version includes a 12.3-inch multimedia center with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, induction cell phone charger and a 7-inch digital instrument panel.
In the field of safety, the pickup incorporates advanced driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind spot monitoring and a lane keeping system. The package is complemented by six airbags and a Full LED optical assembly.
On the other hand, it has seats covered in fabric and eco-leather, electric adjustments for the front seats, a leather-covered steering wheel with height and depth adjustment, an electrochromic interior rear-view mirror and a keyless access system.
Visually, the Dakota Big Horn adopts a grille with chrome elements, mirrors in a glossy black finish, 17-inch alloy wheels with mixed-use tires and body-colored bumpers. The model will be offered in Absolut Black, Knox Silver, Glacier White and Graphite Gray.
The Dakota Big Horn hits the market with a suggested public price of R$285,990 for the 2026/2027 line. For the direct sales channel, the manufacturer foresees specific conditions that can significantly reduce the final value of the vehicle for certain customer profiles. In this case the price drops to R$ 249,990, a very competitive value.
