Rafael Cardoso had controversies with betrayal, drugs and aggression; remember

Actor Rafael Cardoso, 40, announced to his fans that he entered a rehabilitation clinic to undergo treatment for drug addiction. In addition to the drug problem, the artist's name has been involved in several controversies.

He has already been accused of domestic violence against his ex-wife, influencer Mariana Bridi - with whom he has two children -, of having conversations with an underage actress, of aggression in a restaurant, homophobia and substance abuse.

In a previous interview with "Domingo Espetacular", Cardoso commented on the episode with the 17-year-old artist. "I didn't know she was bigger, so I said: 'I'm sorry. And I even joked that when she was older, she would talk to me'. Imagine, I have two daughters. It was totally wrong on my part, a huge mistake."

The actor confirmed that he was convicted of domestic violence by his ex-wife, Mariana Bridi - and explained that he no longer wanted to be married. He was also accused by his mother-in-law, journalist Sonia Bridi, of psychological violence and of having broken into her house and destroyed her car.

"I was under the influence of drugs, that's why I say it's not worth it. For a long time, I minimized my problem, alcoholism. I had no idea how my brain worked and I never wanted to work on it", he said.

In the 2025 interview, he revealed that he hadn't seen his children for over a year due to a protective measure, but spoke to them via video call. When asked if he considered himself a good father, he said yes, he considered himself great, and an example for them.

Rafael attacked a restaurant employee in 2023 and was ordered to pay compensation of R$25,000. Security cameras recorded the moment he punched and kicked the elderly man, in addition to threatening to kill him, according to the lawsuit.

"I was completely emotionally destabilized, giving up everything, I was very aggressive, using drugs excessively, everything", he said.

The actor also said that he was in a lot of debt - and, despite having a farm, he couldn't use the money because his assets were frozen.

And, finally, he commented on the episode in which he shared a post by Nego Di in which he criticized actor João Guilherme for wearing short clothes, like a crop top. According to him, it was a request from the ex-BBB and he never saw the full content, assuming he was prejudiced.
