Brazilian Rafael Câmara won his first victory in Formula 2 this Sunday (14) after an eventful race in Barcelona. The driver started in pole position, faced strong pressure from Alex Dunne throughout the race and confirmed the triumph after a decisive strategy by the undefeated team.

Câmara had difficulties at the start and lost the lead to Dunne in the first corner. Shortly afterwards, the safety car entered the track after Oliver Goethe retired.

At the restart, the Brazilian remained close to his rival and tried to regain the lead with the help of DRS. Dunne brought forward his pit stop on lap 13, which momentarily returned the lead to Câmara.

Invicta called the driver to the pits on the 18th lap, but changed strategy afterwards and kept him on the track. The team avoided placing the Brazilian behind a group of five cars that held Dunne back and hampered advances in the field.

Câmara only made the pit stop on lap 22, with the tires already quite worn out. The Brazilian returned in ninth place, but quickly began an aggressive recovery. With newer compounds, he overtook Beganovic and Villagómez in just one lap and returned to contention for the podium.

In the final laps, the Brazilian driver gained an advantage and took the checkered flag in first place. Nikolas Tsolov finished in second place, while Alex Dune completed the podium in third.
