Quaest: Confidence in hexa grows, but most Brazilians do not believe in Brazil champion

The majority of Brazilians do not believe that the men's team will win their sixth title at the 2026 World Cup. This is what a national survey by Quaest released this Thursday (11) shows.
According to the survey, 56% of the population responded that Brazil will not win the title, while 35% believe in hexa. Another 9% didn't know or didn't want to answer.

How far does Brazil reach the World Cup? World
When asked which stage Brazil should reach, 35% bet on the title. Another 23% think the team will be eliminated in the quarter-finals - the phase in which Brazil fell in the last World Cup, in Qatar.

Evaluation about Ancelotti and Neymar
The Brazilian national team coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has the approval of the majority of Brazilians, and this index increased from April to June.
In the previous survey, 41% approved of Ancelotti. Now, the indicator has risen to 58%. The portion that disapproves of the coach went from 29% to 14%. Another 29% said they did not know or did not answer this question, a similar number to April.

Neymar's call-up also gained more support on the eve of the tournament. According to Quaest, 53% of Brazilians approve of the number 10's presence on Ancelotti's list, compared to 38% who disapprove.
In October 2023, when the question was asked for the first time, approval and disapproval were at 48% and 39%, respectively.

The survey was carried out between the 5th and 8th of June 2026, with 2,004 respondents across Brazil, through in-person home interviews. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, with a 95% confidence level.
