Quaest: 48% disapprove of Lula's government; 47% approve

Genial/Quaest survey released this Wednesday (10) shows that 48% of the Brazilian electorate disapproves of the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), compared to 47% who approve of the PT's management.

Of the total number of respondents, 5% did not know or did not respond.

After a sequence of months, starting in January 2026, in which disapproval of the Lula government fluctuated positively and approval negatively, the difference between the indices reached the closest level since December 2025. At the beginning of the year, the president's disapproval was 49%, having varied to 48% this month.

Approval has now returned to the level of 47% it had at the beginning of the year. The lowest value was recorded in April, with 43%.

Evaluation of Lula's government
The institute also measured the evaluation of Lula's administration.

38% rate the federal government's performance as negative. While 34% evaluate it positively and 26% rate it as regular. Another 2% did not know or did not respond.

Methodology
Genial/Quaest interviewed 2,004 voters, between the 5th and 8th of June, through a face-to-face interview. The survey's margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence interval.
