South Korean President Lee Jae-myung said he was "completely perplexed" by the team's collapse and called for an investigation by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to understand what went wrong.

In light of the repercussions, the president asked the Ministry of Sports to investigate what happened, identify the problems and present solutions to prevent something similar from happening again.
"The failure to qualify left the population discouraged and appears to be the result of organizational and management problems", said Lee.
Pressure also increased among fans. A petition calling for changes in the team's command gained strength, and criticism of the coach and the federation began to circulate more intensely on social media.
