Porto Alegre records the lowest temperature of the year at 6.4°C

Porto Alegre (RS) dawned with the lowest temperature of the year, this Friday (22). According to INMET (National Institute of Meteorology), the minimum recorded in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul reached 6.4 ºC, at the station in the Belém Novo neighborhood. Throughout the day, the maximum can reach 18 ºC.

In the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the minimum this Friday occurred in Quaraí, on the Western Border, with 0.5ºC. In São José dos Ausentes, in Campos de Cima da Serra, the temperature reached 0.6 ºC and there was frost at dawn.

Throughout the afternoon and evening, according to Climatempo, the sky should become cloudier, with a chance of moderate to heavy rain in the northwest and in points in the extreme north of Rio Grande do Sul.

Record negative temperature for the year is recorded in Santa Catarina

On Saturday (23), according to the Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Sul, the minimum temperatures vary between 1°C and 6°C in the West, Campanha, Serra and Northeast. In these places, there is a possibility of occasional frost formation.
