Police find human bones and ashes hidden in buses in DF

The PRF (Federal Highway Police) found, on the afternoon of this Friday (12), a human skeleton and ashes being illegally transported in the luggage compartment of a tourist bus, on BR-020, in Planaltina, in the Federal District.

According to the police, the material, which was heading to the municipality of Campo Alegre de Lourdes, in Bahia, did not have documentation to justify transport.

The luggage was located by agents during an inspection of the vehicle, which was traveling between São Paulo and Guaribas (PI). When inspecting the luggage compartment, the police identified a suitcase locked with a padlock, poorly preserved and without the content identification label.

Given the suspicious characteristics of the object, the police decided to open the luggage, when they found a bag with construction tools and a plastic box.

According to the PRF, inside the box, agents found the unidentified bones and a wrapper with human ashes, identified with the name of a woman.

The seized material and the driver responsible for the vehicle at the time of the approach were taken to the 16th Civil Police Station, in Planaltina (DF).
