The police in Rzeszów, Poland, announced this Monday (15) the end of investigations on the Lutoryż property, where remains of human fetuses and medical waste buried in the land were discovered.
According to a statement released by the corporation, hundreds of police officers have worked at the site since Wednesday (10), when the case was discovered during earthmoving works. The teams relied on sniffer dogs from the local dog club and also used a georadar to search underground for more traces.
According to the police, all the soil in the area had to be turned over and sieved to ensure that no evidence was lost. After reading the georadar, on Saturday night, the authorities decided to close the work and return the property to its owners.
The investigation is led by the Rzeszów Regional Prosecutor's Office and is investigating the case of Magdalena H., a 57-year-old pathomorphologist doctor arrested last week and who was ordered into preventive detention for three months.

A doctor was arrested in Poland after the discovery of 34 human fetuses buried in the garden of her former residence, authorities reported this Monday (15).
Magdalena H., 57 years old, with no criminal record, is suspected of having used the fetuses to carry out experiments and could face a sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
Her case triggered a huge controversy in this traditionally Catholic country, and many wonder how she managed to obtain the fetuses, taking into account that Poland has one of the strictest abortion laws in the world.
For now, there is no evidence that she obtained them through illegal abortions, according to a spokesperson for the Public Ministry.
The accusations against the doctor include crimes of vilification of a corpse, inadequate waste management and abandonment of dangerous materials in an unauthorized location.

Last week, prosecutors received a complaint that medical waste had been found during construction work in her former home, located in the town of Lutoryż, in the southeast of the country.
After a search of the area, in which dozens of police officers, sensors and dogs participated, at least 34 fetuses were found buried in the garden.
"It is very likely that a detained woman used this waste to carry out experiments", said the spokesman for the Rzeszow District Prosecutor's Office, Krzysztof Ciechanowski.
Upon learning of the accusations, she did not plead guilty, but stated that "she herself had taken and buried the human fetuses found on her property", as well as other medical waste.
