Police arrest man who was transporting explosive material in Bahia
The Military Police of Bahia arrested, this Saturday (23), a man who was transporting explosive material in Seabra, Bahia. The car carrying the contents left the municipality of Novo Horizonte, which was aimed at the place where the individual was detained.
According to the PM, half a ton of Ammonium Nitrate, 26 boxes with 2,600 pyrotechnic detonators, 730 explosive gel emulsion cartridges and two cell phones were seized.
There is no information about the purpose of these products.
The driver did not present the Traffic Guide issued by the Army Controlled Products Inspection Service that authorizes the transport of equipment such as ammunition and firearms. Furthermore, he also did not have the invoices for the materials that should show the legality of the movement and the destination of each element.
All the seized material was presented to the regional police station, which will take the appropriate measures.
Security agents managed to locate the individual after carrying out searches and patrols on the road where the car was said to be moving.
