Police arrest eight suspects of kidnapping and torture in Cuiabá

The Military Police of Mato Grosso arrested, last Friday (29), eight suspects of kidnapping and torturing a 26-year-old man in Cuiabá.

The group of suspects would be part of a criminal faction in the region, and the victim would be their debtor.

The military police caught the eight individuals dragging a man into a residence and intervened.

The victim reported to them that he had debts with the suspects and that he received a call threatening him.

Those under investigation would have threatened reprisals against his family if he did not appear at the address where he was taken for kidnapping.

After the rescue, the agents found that the victim had injuries to his left leg. He was taken to the Cuiabá Municipal Hospital (HMC), where he received medical attention and was released.

The group of eight suspects was taken to the police station to register a police report.
