PM seizes more than R$100,000 in operation against theft and trafficking in SP

An operation carried out by the Shock Policing Command of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo against robberies and drug trafficking throughout the capital of São Paulo resulted in the arrest of three people and the seizure of more than R$100,000 this Friday (19).

Operação Impacto Choque Capital mobilizes more than 350 agents and also includes the use of police vehicles, horses and dogs.

To date, three people have been arrested and sums of money totaling R$ 125,749.00, 32 cell phones, 5 computers, 14 other electronic devices and portions of drugs have been seized.

Three weapons were also seized, including a 7.65 pistol, a Glock G17 9mm pistol and a Ruger .380 pistol, in addition to 29 rounds of ammunition.

The operation brings together specialized teams from the 1st Rota Shock Police Battalion, 2nd Shock Police Battalion, 3rd Shock Police Battalion, 4th Shock Police Battalion, through the COE (Commands and Special Operations), 5th Shock Police Battalion (Canil) and the "9 de Julho" Mounted Police Regiment, in addition to the support of the BAEP (Special Police Actions Battalion) sectors of the metropolitan region.

According to the police, integrated action is carried out to reinforce crime prevention and repression actions, through approaches, overt patrolling and saturation operations in locations identified by criminal analysis.

The action is still ongoing.
