PM finds rifle in organized crime drug factory in Paraisópolis

A building used as a real organized crime industry was discovered by the police in the community of Paraisópolis, in the south of São Paulo, this Tuesday (7). A Russian AK-47 rifle was seized at the scene.

According to the Military Police, the building was used for the storage, processing and preparation of drugs. Three properties were found used in different stages of the drug trafficking chain.

In the first, a cocaine refinery was located, where there was already a large quantity of the drug mixed, ready for the final stages of preparation, as well as various equipment used in processing. In the second property, the police seized tablets of cocaine base paste and various materials intended for packaging the drug.

On the third occasion, the police found the AK-47 hidden in the plaster ceiling of a bathroom. The rifle was equipped with a snail-type magazine, fully loaded, in addition to other magazines also filled with ammunition.

The PM states that the arrangement of the materials and the way the properties were organized show that the building functioned as a criminal industry, concentrating different stages of drug production and distribution.

Elements were also found that indicate that the property was used for drug experimentation, possibly as a kind of showcase for later distribution.

The location was preserved for forensic work and the incident was presented at the 89th DP (Morumbi).
