PM bombs hit school in SP and students feel sick

Training with stun bombs inside a Military Police base ended up hitting students from a state school, located in Jardim São Luís, in São Paulo, on Thursday afternoon (25).

According to the State Department of Education, the case occurred at E.E. Prof. Luis Gonzaga Pinto e Silva. As soon as the situation was identified, activities on site were immediately interrupted.

Teams provided care to people who presented discomfort, and called SAMU and the Fire Department.

Around five students were referred for medical evaluation and remain stable. Images provided to CNN Brasil by Portal Jardim São Luís News show the moment the young people were rescued. See below:

Also according to the secretariat, the school management was informed by the Military Police itself that the odor was caused by training carried out in the battalion next to the unit.

To CNN Brasil, the SSP (Public Security Secretariat) informed that the training of Tactical Force teams was carried out in an area previously designated for this type of instruction. See full note:

"The Military Police regrets what happened and informs that it has initiated an administrative procedure to investigate all the circumstances of what happened. The training of Tactical Force teams was carried out in an area previously designated for this type of instruction. As soon as the situation was identified, the activity was immediately interrupted and the teams provided assistance to people who presented discomfort, with preventive action from SAMU and the Fire Department. The students were sent for medical evaluation and are doing well."
