Plane crash in Nova Iguaçu (RJ): see images of the accident

A small plane crashed this Saturday morning (30) in the Vila Bandeirantes region, in Nova Iguaçu, Baixada Fluminense. The pilot of the aircraft died at the scene.

Images recorded after the accident show the debris scattered over a residence hit by the fall. Rescue teams and authorities isolated the area for forensic work.

According to the Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CBMERJ), the victim was found dead when the military arrived at the scene of the incident.

Agents from the Burns Detachment, linked to the 4th GBM (Military Firefighters Group), provided assistance.

Another video obtained by CNN Brasil shows the moment the aircraft took off. So far, no information has been released about the flight's place of origin or its intended destination.

The area remains under the responsibility of the competent authorities to carry out investigation procedures.

The causes of the fall are still unknown and will be investigated by the responsible bodies.
